2010 Summer Library Program

This summer's library program promises to be wet and wild!   With a title like SPLISH! SPLASH!, how could it not be?

Chuck has prepared several age appropriate programs for your library programs sure to delight participants.   Below are descriptions for each program.

Grades K-3          Jellyfish Jamboree
Participants will-
• learn to draw fun sea creatures by using simple shapes.
• learn to see invisible underwater creatures by working on camouflage designs
• playing with colors to see how underwater creatures use them to hide.

Grades 4-6          Don't Go In The Water... SHARKS!
Participants will-
• create a shark detection kit.
• learn how to be shark bait... and how not to be shark bait.
• learn how to design an underwater sonar detection device for detecting sharks.

Grades 7-9          The Amazing Jellyfish Man (a graphic novel)
Participants will-         
• learn how to develop characters and sketch rough ideas.
• learn how to develop plot and resolution.
• drawing the panels of the graphic novel.

Grades 10-12          Sea Monsters; Real and Unreal (a graphic novel)
Participants will-
• learn history and myths of sea monsters.
• learn about real and unreal sea monsters.
• learn how to draw a sea monster when you see one.
• reasons why you should not go in the water (there are sea monsters about).

For fee information-

• $200 per one hour session

• 50¢ per mile in order to drive to your library

• 2-3 (and more) library package prices available on request. Book your whole library
system for volume savings.
